Christophe has over 20 years of experience in refining catalysts, successively in Technical Services, Sales and Marketing.
This experience includes refining catalyst development, consulting and on-site training in EMEA/CIS. He was responsible for Sales for refining catalysts in the Middle East. Christophe has held Marketing positions for W.R Grace successively in EMEA, in a US team as Global Marketing Manager with a focus on new product launch and business development. His most recent position relates to the AP market, closely working with Grace’s Sales team.
He holds a Chemical Engineering degree from France and a PhD in refining catalysis with TOTAL.
Asheesh Sastry is a Partner and Managing Director in the BCG Singapore Office focused on the Energy sector. Asheesh has more than 17 years of Energy industry and consulting experience spanning South East Asia, Middle East and Europe and previously worked with Royal Dutch Shell in Europe.
Asheesh has worked extensively with International Oil Companies (IOCs), National Oil Companies (NOCs) and Chemicals producers across Europe, Middle East and South-East Asia on Upstream, Downstream, Gas and Chemicals areas of the Energy value chain. Asheesh specializes in the area of strategy development, operating model / organization re-structuring, due-diligence / PMI / JV set-up and capital projects management. Azwan Shukor has over 11 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry covering the Petroleum & Oil Products Retailing Business, Supply Chain Management & Distribution,Business Transformation,Internationalization, Promotion and Branding, and Government Relations. Azwan graduated with a Bachelor of Information Technology / Computer Engineering degree from Multimedia University in 2006, and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business with University of Malaya (UM). After an extensive 8-years career in Shell with assignments covering Malaysia and the Philippine markets, he joined Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC) in 2012, an agency in the Prime Minister’s Department overseeing the growth of Malaysian Oil & Gas Services and Equipment sector.
Azwan remains as one of the pioneering members of MPRC and is currently the Vice President and Head of the Trade & Investment department, leading high value creation initiatives, driving growth in investment (FDI & DDI) into the country, promoting and exporting Malaysian Oil & Gas services and manufacturing industry globally, and heading G-to-G initiatives with the aim of making Malaysia the Oil & Gas hub for the Asia Pacific region. In his free time, Azwan enjoys coaching and mentoring the next generation of leaders, and engage in dialogues on company’s ventures into international forays
Gurminder Singh is Director Technology Licensing-Asia Pacific for Shell Global Solutions based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At Shell Global Solutions, he is responsible for Shell’s refining and chemicals technology licensing in the Asia-Pacific region including Shell’s proprietary Reactor Internals. He has over 25 years of experience in the hydrocarbon processing industry comprising of technology licensing, conceptual design, and feasibility studies etc. for refineries and petrochemical units. Gurminder has a Master’s degree in HSE Technology from National University of Singapore, a Chemical Engineering degree from India and has a Chartered Engineer status in UK.
Kosin Wutticharoenwong is the Asia Pacific Strategic Marketing Director at Honeywell UOP, a leading developer and licensor of technologies for the oil, gas and petrochemical industry. In this role, Kosin has responsibility to lead, manage, and direct all regional marketing related activities for Honeywell UOP. Kosin works with global and regional line of business to identify and execute the growth strategy for the business. Kosin leads growth strategy development through the use of Voice of Customer (VOC) discussion to discern customer segments,economic [willingness to pay and cost to serve] and competitive dynamics, then enabling tailoring of distinctive value proposition and pricing strategies for the region. Kosin joined Honeywell in February 2014 as the PMT (Performance Material and Technologies) Strategic Marketing Manager for South East Asia with similar responsibility for Honeywell Advanced Material (AM) business. Previously, Kosin held a number of roles with increasing responsibility within PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC), an ASEAN leading petrochemical and refinery group, with most recent role as the Sales and Marketing Director at Myriant Corporation, the Boston-based subsidiary of PTTGC where he oversaw sales and market development of new business in Asia for the company.
Prof Dr Shahidah Mohd Shariff started her journey with PETRONAS in July 1987 as a Chemist, and has since grown with the giant in various capacities, which include heading the Process Technology Department of PETRONAS Research and Scientific Services Sdn Bhd as well as the Novel Process and Advanced Engineering of PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd. She is currently Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS Research Sdn Bhd. In 2010, she was awarded Professorship by Queens University of Belfast for her contribution in industry-university collaboration, particularly in the area of Ionic Liquid.
Larry manages a team of consultants in IHS Chemical Consulting, Asia to help clients develop sustainable and profitable growth strategies through strategic analysis, reviews and implementation.
He brings 33 years of experience in the petrochemical industry, mainly in the refinery & basic petrochemical segments. He has extensive knowledge of the petrochemical industry & key players worldwide.
Larry’s experience is wholly within the oil and petrochemical industry. Majority of that time was spent with ExxonMobil in various functional areas of increasing responsibility – engineering, technical, refinery operations, research & development (in USA), supply chain, shipping, manufacturing planning, joint venture commercial oversight and sales & marketing. After he left ExxonMobil, Larry traded oil & petrochemicals for European firms covering the Asian markets before he became a consultant.
Larry is frequently invited to share his market views at petrochemical industry conferences as well as to conduct bespoke in-house training for oil and petrochemical industry subjects. He also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Singapore Management University’s International Trading Institute.
