Dr Hendri Firman Windarto

Hendri Firman Windarto is currently Senior Technology Advisor at National Resillience Council. He earned his Bachelor of Nuclear Engineering at Gadjahmada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 1988, his Master of Nuclear Engineering at Osaka University, Japan, in 1994 and his Doctor in Nuclear Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 2000, working with Prof. Dr. Masaaki Suzuki. In his thesis work, he pioneered Decontamination Technique Using CF4/O2 Microwave Discharge Plasma at Atmospheric Pressure.
After completing his Doctor, Hendri promoted as Head of Nuclear Fuel Material Technology Division in 2001, then as Head of Nuclear Reactor Technology Division in 2003 and has been worked as researcher for more than 20 years at National Atomic Energy Agency (BATAN).
He worked and participated on “Advanced Nuclear Reactor – AP600 New Plant Design” at Nuclear Energy Division, Westinghouse Electric Company, Pittsburgh, USA in 1995-1997.
Hendri has been in his current position as Senior Technology Advisor at National Resillience Council since 2011. During his tenure, he formulate national policy of technology development. He is also as a founder of Indonesia Nuclear Professional Association (APRONUKI) and establish Association of Maritime Economic Development for Indonesia.
